You can also choose to let Dr Chakwas stay in her current job, in which case you can recruit Dr Michel instead.

I didn't realise that Chakwas could die in ME2 though, I thought she was the only one to survive if you left the suicide mission too late.

Have you tried that RT interrupt on Rannoch yet?

I don't know what I did in the end. I had all three options but couldn't seem to make a choice, I just kept walking into the blue beam....Reapers seemed to leave, Shepard died, relays destroyed.

Completed it, restarted with my femshep, this time i have a readiness rating of 80%, the DLC, 2 more crew members survived so im going to try some different choices and see how it plays out

I got my galactic readiness up to 65% the weekend with a couple of hours of multi-player. But last night it had gone back down to 60% :/

..I'm at Earth with my first [completely paragon] Shep. That Kai Leng was a right bugger to beat at the Cerberus base.
I'll be happy when I complete this run on Insanity, so I can relax and play with my other Shepard's on 'normal' (or at least with my Adept or Vangard)

I've been using the Datapad app to increase my Galactic Readiness (still not touched the MP - when I load the game, I want to play SP). It's at almost at 100% now

Currently on my second playthrough. Same FemShep imported back in for NG+ so I can reach level 60, rather than trying a different ME2 import. I'm trying it on Hardcore, as I didn't want to ramp right up to Insanity. It's surprisingly easy though so far (next up: Priority: Sur'kesh)... Being a level 60 Infiltrator with a level X Black Widow does make many battles a cake walk Not looking forward to Kai Leng though or the final-battle Banshees.

Here is the thing....(Be prepared for major Spoilage)...

The ending didn't happen.... he was being indoctrinated by the citadel reaper... to test him on his choice... the young boy you seen at the start (originally was to be a girl) was never there only Shepard saw him, because of the reaper tech Cerberus used to rebuild Shepard in ME2 (Illusive Man has Reaper tech inside him... due to getting close to a reaper artefact in the Earth-Turian war when Cerberus was a secret-op army division -- and the TIM's real name is Jack Harper... long story, but read up on Mass Effect - Evolution).

So since start of ME3 he has been subjected to Indoctrination, those dreams are not dreams.

Imagine it as a Bobby Ewing thing, and coming out the shower :P

As an infiltrator, dashing around in circles is my tactic to defeating them anyway, but on the final mission I'm sure there was 6 of them (two at a time) and 4 brutes.
A squad member with the particle weapon and myself with the Javelin and banshees equal no problem

Also, Jack as a love interest in ME2? Seriously, what was the point? All you get at the end is an email saying to stay alive because she wants to get laid, my Shep's bed was empty.
He should have stuck with Ashley from ME1 :/

Ah yes, the "Indoctrination Theory".

It does have a lot of evidence in its favour, but it's still just a fan-theory, created because of a desperate need to make sense of a disappointing ending.

If it was true, it would be quite a ballsy move for BioWare... although they have completely cocked it up if it was their intention... plus it really is offensive if true as it means BioWare deliberately released a game with no real ending, so another broken promise.

I think Galactic Readiness also affects that final battle... The higher the GR, the fewer the enemies who manage to reach your location.

I didn't try dashing around in circles on playthrough 1. I hung around in the left-hand building to avoid the Reaper's beam, and cloaked loads and used squadmate powers lol.

My FemShep didn't romance anyone in ME2, other than the "fling" with Kelly. She did reconnect with Liara in LotSB though.

Romanced Samantha in ME3 playthrough 1. Probably Liara in playthrough 2.

There was hardly anything to it... Just cut-scenes and dialogue choices. It was a bit of a let-down but an ending was always going to be disappointing for such an epic series like Mass Effect.
