CoD Black Ops
Anyone played it yet? Is it as good as the hype?
I'm heading to Tesco later to see if I can get a copy (£25 with an £18 3m XBL card) or Sainsbury (£30 with £30 shopping).
Anywhere else with better instore prices?

Thanks to one of the clan's members, Damien C, NTHW have a Call of Duty Black Ops server running at 173.199.77.123 port 3074. This will probably be set to Hardcore ranked for the majority of the time.

Initial impressions are good , although a stand out as soon as you switch it on point is the graphics are nowhere near as good as on mw2. Good additions which seem to work well are kill streaks don't count towards kill streaks , no shotguns as secondary weapons , the gameplay has slowed slightly from mw2 but would say this is more like cod6.5 rather than cod7 ..... Enjoyable so far though.

I got bored with COD-style MP with MW2, plus the campaign for this is the usual short length, so I think I'll just rent it some time.
I love the idea of the zombie-mode you unlock after the campaign though

Just spent a couple of hours on MP.
Not bad but not as good as MW2.
The purchase system seems to be a good idea as are the contracts.
As Bulky said, graphics are more like WAW than MW2.

Hit this pretty hard yesterday , much prefer the buy what you use approach. It may not look as good as mw2 but IMO the gameplay is better which is what really counts , seems a little harder to kill people as well which IMO is better as well , all in all the multiplayer seems much more balanced than mw2 .
