Question Simple Games Vs Blockbuster Titles

I thought I'd start this thread because I've recently bought "Tumble" from the Playstation Network, I think it was £7.99. I did this after getting a move Controller.

I also recently bought Fallout New Vegas, as I'm a big fan, and theres a big difference between £40 and £8, however, such a simple game like tumble is keeping me very busy for hours at a time.

It's amazing, and even more so in 3D.

Has anyone tried this game yet? Would love to hear other peoples opinions.

It just goes to show big developers that some of their games are overpriced, fallout vegas is riddled with bugs, and it's not much different to fallout 3.

Re: Simple Games Vs Blockbuster Titles

I have to disagree with you about New Vegas, I'm 28 Hours in to New Vegas and loving it, I've still not completed most of the quests and have only explored a fraction of the map.

Fallout 3 is up there with the best games ever made so why would they want to change it massively? New Vegas has a few tweaks and new features to improve both the RPG and combat elements whilst not damaging any of the core gameplay. Add to that the writing of the original fallout team and you have a splash of the originals humour.

Bugs wise, I cant say I have experienced many especially when compared to the amount of bugs released with almost all new games. I would say New Vegas is one of the few Blockbusters that lives up to its price tag.

Still they would have been damned by some if they changed it to much and damned by some if they didn't.

I also like a lot of the small Indy games which are usually very good for there price such as Plants vs Zombies, Peggle, Osmos etc etc which do surpass many so called blockbusters.

Re: Simple Games Vs Blockbuster Titles

The PC version seems quite stable. I've had two CTD since launch and a slight bug with one quest (Speech in "Come fly with me" leading to NPC getting stuck) which fixed itself when I restarted the game and reloaded the autosave, Otherwise no problems.

Re: Simple Games Vs Blockbuster Titles

Tumble is a great little game and well worth £7.99 imo. I've had alot of fun with it.

I haven't played Fallout: New Vegas yet as I recently get the Fallout 3 DLC packs and am playing through them first. Fallout 3 still has bugs now and has crashed my PS3 twice but I have to agree with G UK and say its one of the best games around. I've read about the bugs in New Vegas but I expected them tbh because as I said Fallout 3 still does not run perfectly but if you can look past the bugs its a brilliant game and from what I've seen about New Vegas its look's to be much the same.

Now just need to finish Fable 3(Actually have to start it first, still in its wrapping) and then onto New Vegas it will be
