USB Extension for Eye Camera
I'm looking for a USB extension cable for rigging up my Eye Camera so I can make use of PS Move, will any extension work or do they have to be a specific type?
I plugged in a charger once for my controller but it didnt work, even though the connector was the same, so I dont want to buy any old USB extension to find it wont work, so any help appreciated.

Re: USB Extension for Eye Camera
Any extention lead should work
The charger may not have worked if the voltage was not correct

Re: USB Extension for Eye Camera
It will depend on the length, USB isn't designed to go beyond 5m but it does depend on the two devices connected..
As long as you keep within the length then any USB A (male) to A (female) should work

Would a powered USB hub extend the range?

Re: USB Extension for Eye Camera
@ Homer: a USB repeater hub will work, you can also get extender cables that boost the power/signal...
@ Roger: Just because a single brand works for you on a particular cable it may not work for everyone. As I said in my first post "it depends on the two devices connected"
In the end the technical specs for USB are designed to work upto 5m, anything over that is luck or over design
