Hmmm, I feel robbed.
Playing Mafia 2 and I may as well be playing the first one. I can't even begin to wonder what took them so long for this, it's pretty much EXACTLY the same. :/

I like the idea of collaborative development for technologies though. To be fair it does sound like they are adding some good stuff but it seems, at the expense of some really important stuff. Civ IV was flawed yes and I don't think the expansions really addressed the shortcomings properly... as you've just mentioned, losing tanks to spears and Apache gunships to arrows... lol

Me and you both. Not enough to do in the game either. Will be selling it after the bank holiday.

Got F1 2010 on pre-order. Will pop into the supermarket for FIFA '11.
Apart from those two I really don't think any other games this year are on my radar.

Bring back my cannonball railroad express tactic from 2 I didn't like 3 at all, quite liked 4 (it's still living in my DVD drive on the PC) and V is the game I'm looking forward to most for the rest of this year. The other stuff I'm looking forward to - my fella will crack and buy first.
PS: Is it wrong that when I was watching the end of Avatar I piped up with "so that's how a dude with a spear manages to kill my stealth bombers on Civ?"

Mafia 1 was great and so was Mafia 2. IMO I'm glad they kept it to a solid story and not some GTA clone. Story was great and had excellent gameplay in parts. I will say the shooting in the game was pretty terrible to be fair.
Games:
WoW: Cataclysm
Fifa 11
Cod: Black Ops
I Am Alive
Max Payne 3
Was hoping Rockstar would push out a GTA 5 release but instead are keeping it under wraps until E3 next year
