Virgin has acquired World Gaming a leading videogame tournament website.
Not sure how much interest there would be in this but thought I would post the link.

What Virgin hopes to do with World Gaming is yet to be announced, however Galaxy4Gamers' (a competing website) CEO, Chris Doe, has said Virgin's move into the niche online tournament space would be important for the sport.

Sorry all.
You can tell I'm no gamer. It mentioned VM so I took the report on face value. I imagined there may be some tenuous tie-in in with the coming Tivio equipment.

Nor am I but the guy quoted said 'Gaming for real cash is still a relatively new concept here in the U.S' and couldn't see any advantage of VM buying a US based gaming site!

As this is not a Virgin Media news item, I have renamed the thread and moved it to the gaming forum.
