Amiga game question

Just a quick question, but before I begin I will stress I own the original.

I have a copy of Jaguar XJ220 for the Amiga which refuses to load on the damm thing. I had alot of problems getting the discs of the ebay seller but in the end they arrived.

I know where to get the rom, but what I wanted to know is, is there anyway I can get the files onto the original disc for use in my Amiga. (basically formatting the disc and copying the files back onto the ruddy thing so it will work)

tia

Re: Amiga game question

Well Workbench would be pretty important, but I'm pretty sure you could do it with a RAM Disk assuming you have enough, (which Amiga model do you have)?

Re: Amiga game question

I have the A1200 but I have never used Workbench in all the years I had an Amiga, even when I had the 500+

Zing, come on man, you ever tried an Amiga emulator - I think there really poor if I'm honest lol. I tried one not so long back and to get it running half decent required alot of messing around with the settings.

Thing is I'm going all retro and want my Amiga running XJ220 the way I remember it

Re: Amiga game question

Well I am really baffled. I bought another copy of XJ220 of ebay and I have the same problem. The game starts loading, blank screen then nothing. Surely 2 copies of the same game cant have the same fault?

My *backup* i had years ago worked flawlessly all the time, everytime

Re: Amiga game question

If my memory serves me correct, even the 500+ had some problems with some games, so much so that there was a switch to disable the extra memory, effectively downgrading it to a basic 500.
