I can get the odd game in win7 but in XP Punkbuster keeps kicking me even though I've updated it.

Re: Bad Company 2
havent been able to play MP since I have it installed.... but seem to remember a similar issue when 2142 came out.... same ol EA never prepared for the mass of people wanting to go online.
dont know if you can class this as a good or bad thing but at least all your achievements etc are stored on a server instead of your own pc

Re: Bad Company 2
I've not even tried the MP yet, still playing the SP.
I remember the same issues though when BF1943 came out.
Maybe by the time of the next BF game, EA will have learned to anticipate demand a bit better.

Re: Bad Company 2
Well I can get it running in Win7 now so thats good only thing is it tends to crash a fair bit when entering a server or map changing. In XP can't play as PB just kicks me all the time.

Re: Bad Company 2
This game is awesome. I'm having so much more fun with it than MW2.

Re: Bad Company 2
I had a good few games earlier. I'm not sure I like the fact that your rank is 0 when you begin, not 1.

Re: Bad Company 2
It doesn't take long to get to rank 1.
I didn't play for long tonight due to the servers being crap
There is more server maintenance planned for Friday 12th & Saturday 13th at 8am GMT.

Re: Bad Company 2
its a good 6500 points really Matt and the beginning is quite tough as well as you dont really know which class you want to go for (at least that was the case with me......)

Re: Bad Company 2
Exactly. The Assault class is terrible to begin with. I never use it. I prefer to be an Engineer or Recon. Best classes IMO.

I didn't find 6500 points to be too high to get in a reasonable time, & I'm hardly a great player, & haven't been playing for that long.
I've been playing Assault the last couple of sessions, although I started off with Recon. Not tried Engineer or Medic yet.

Re: Bad Company 2
My stats are kind of embarrassing. Maybe Assault is a lot better once better guns are unlocked?
