7th guest on vista?
afternoon all
finally got round to installing the classic 7th guest on my xp netbook and with the help of a patch it runs perfectly. Just wondering if anyone has tried installing this on vista?
i start the installation but it really does not want to know. (hangs half way through and just sits there)
currently googling for more info - in the meantime, any thoughts / suggestions?

Re: 7th guest on vista?
Wow, 7th guest. That's a blast from the past. I was reeeally impressed with that when I first played it.
You can also try downlaoding a linux Live CD and running it under wine (google for tutorials)

My god thats a blast from the past.
From 1989 to 1997 I worked for a software distributor, I was allowed to borrow one of these for the weekend, I remember a golf game that was awesome.

I seen the CD-i version on YouTube... it seemed a little choppy to me? No idea if it was the guys recording equipment, but I did notice there was some music missing and he went on to metion 2 of the puzzles were cut for the CD-i release.
Was always one of my fave games growing up and I only found out today theres a novel which I think I will have get of Amazon

Re: 7th guest on vista?
Yes, a couple of puzzles were cut but the video was full screen MPEG1 running on the CD-i hardware card and the quality was significantly better than the PC version. Not choppy at all.
The golf game was Palm Springs Open. I've got it. It still looks fantastic today.
Apologies for running OT!
