Re: Football Manager 2010
I'm playing as AD Alcorcon ( who beat Real Madrid 4-0 last week) in the Spanish 3rd tier, which is regional. They're a tiny club and only formed in 1971 so it should be challenging and fulfilling too, if i succeed in taking them anywhere.
I haven't got any solid tactics yet. However, i thoroughly recommend this guy's training schedules, his previous versions have always worked a treat: http://www.tugstraining.co.nr/

Playing as Arsenal.
I doing a 4-5-1 formation but with Arshvian attacking down the left, Walcott the right. Two central midfielders and song behind them. So quite attacking.

Apart from the obvious, are there any differences to 09?

Re: Football Manager 2010
I suck at playing teams without a good attack. When I play as Arsenal I pretty much get them playing as they do in real life. When I am a team without such ability upfront and down the sides I suck.

I started playing this last night as AFC Wimbledon. I didn't want to start of with a premiership team, but I think the game would be more enjoyable if you use a team that you currently support and know well.
I gave up on Wimbledon after the Milton Keynes disaster, and regretably didnt follow them when AFC Wimbledon was set up.
Thinking about restarting with Chelsea.

Do you play attacking football fluidly with a smaller team or should I have a more defensive tactic?

That went over my head lol.
I've only started playing yesterday. Formation was attacking 4-4-2, and lost both my opening fixtures (friendly) 2-0!.
I'm playing it on my PSP - I don't have a user guide which I think is needed to help me understand the game better.

Re: Football Manager 2010
This is incredible - in real life Donkey can't hit a cow's behind with a banjo but in FM2010 he's knocking them in for fun. Playing him as a supporting attacker and Rooney as a poacher, 7 games in and between them they've scored 15 goals.

Re: Football Manager 2010
Ebi Smolarek is the mutts nuts, scored 50 goals in his first season with my Leeds team, which romped div 1 and is now 10 points clear in the Championship. Anyone else found any gems, Jorg Andrea is avaliable for free to.

Not sure if you got the name from the Guardian article but I attempted to buy him but was unable. Zoko is ok though.

What Guardian article? He is avaliable on a free at the start and he looks like getting close to 50 again this season, think he is on 26 going towards the end of January, top of the league again but only by a point and lost my first 2 league games now, not bad though really, only lost 2 out of 70+ league games.

I am playing at Crystal Palace. Cannot get a run of victories together to save my life. The Guardian had a list of budget 11 which given the limited resources at Palace was a god-send. Got a few of them but still cannot win

Yeah having looked at that list I can see why your struggling!! Plenty of better players avaliable for free when you start, Gareth Williams, Danny Simpson and Sol Campbell for a start, also Paul Smith from Forest and Doyley from Watford can be yours for a million combined. Got my eye on Milan Purović from Sporting who is transfer listed for £900k, he looks really good.

Ooo Thanks for the tips. My defense is awful. Can't seem to stop them being morons. Need to figure out some good tactics as well.
