Virgin Media 50mb users: What is your latency on American Servers?

Hello, I'm currently living in Harrogate, England, I'm in the US Military and was just stationed over here for the next 3 years.

I used to play World of Warcraft a lot and I plan to play the game Aion when it is released though I want to play on an American East Coast server with my friends.

I won't have internet until I move into my flat on September 1st and I have a question for you gamers with Virgin Media's 50mb down/1.5mb upload connection. What is your latency to East Coast Servers? If any of you guys are in a similar position as myself can you tell me how you ping to American WoW servers? Or if any of you guys use proxy servers such as smoothping.com or lowerping.com to help route/focus your bandwidth to the server if that helps significantly?

Any information would be appreciated.
