Epic fantasy RPG from BioWare (KOTOR, Mass Effect, Baldur's Gate), due out in October this year.

From what's been revealed so far, it looks like it could be awesome (& of course given BioWare's track record, it *should* be awesome).

Re: Dragon Age: Origins (BioWare fantasy RPG, PC/360/PS3)

Thanks for the thread Matt.

Also, for those waiting eagerly for the game to be released (like me), Bioware have released the character creation part of the game.

Get it from their servers using the link below (PC only):

http://files.bioware.com/dragonage_c...Creator_en.exe

I just hope this game turns out to be as good as Baldur's Gate II, or failing that, is at least better then Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2.

There are quite a few videos for the game on xbox live at the moment, with some surprises.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins (BioWare fantasy RPG, PC/360/PS3)

EA have just released a flash game to act as a lead-in, and promotion piece, to the full Dragon Age: Origins game. It's called Dragon Age Journeys and it's rather good

It's an RPG just like it's big brother, except 2D browser based, and uses a tactical, turn-based, fighting system.

I've just played a bit of it but really enjoyed it. Plus it's free, and I've heard it contains 3-4 hours worth of game-play. Play it at:

http://www.dragonagejourneys.com/

(Also, sorry for posting the character creation link again - must have missed Matt's post on the matter )

Same here, will probably pick it up after Christmas and hope it's gone down a bit in price. Only because I'm a bit short of money at the moment, but agree, there are a lot of good games coming out at the moment.

Though if there's one thing that Bioware games do well is last a long, long, long time. If it's anything like their past RPGs, DA: O will have at least 20+ hours of game-play.

True and it really does look like a very good game. Maybe if any of the games on my list turn out a bit rubbish I might sell it and buy this but otherwise It will probably be next year or maybe for christmas I know I will be getting it though sometime or other

Re: Dragon Age: Origins (BioWare fantasy RPG, PC/360/PS3)

Like you guys, although I'm definitely going to get this, I won't be getting it on release. Too many other things out later this year to have the time to get stuck into a big fat BioWare RPG.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins (BioWare fantasy RPG, PC/360/PS3)

First couple of UK reviews in:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/dr...origins-review
http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/pc/20...igins-review/1

Both give a good score but I was expecting a bit higher.

PC Gamer UK magazine gave it 94% though:
http://www.computerandvideogames.com....php?id=226557

Will still be buying it, hopefully before Christmas.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins (BioWare fantasy RPG, PC/360/PS3)

From what I've read so far, PC version > PS3 version > 360 version.

As my PC sucks for games, I'll probably get the PS3 version rather than the 360 version.

Although I really should get round to finishing Oblivion before starting another epic fantasy RPG...

Re: Dragon Age: Origins (BioWare fantasy RPG, PC/360/PS3)

I am not happy by the lack of mouse look but with a few key rebinds its playable on the PC . There is a lot of interactive dialogue which dominates the first part of the game ( which I aint a great fan of) I started as a Mage but kind think Id have been better off as something else

Re: Dragon Age: Origins (BioWare fantasy RPG, PC/360/PS3)

I'll be getting this for christmas but I have to admit I'm a bit concerned by the lack of mouse look as Zing has mentioned. I was really looking forward to this one but that has put me off a little.

Dragon Age

Just Bought Dragon Age, off Steam (it was in the sale)

Hope it runs ok as bit worried that my video card is to slow for it (8500GT) that said it was 22.50 on offer which is almost half the price of the xbox/ps3 versions so I thought i'd risk it.

Pity steams being a bit slow downloading (about 800kb/s) I want to play
