I was riding my horse, & came across a broken down wagon, with a woman next to it asking for help.
I stopped, & immediately a group of gunmen jumped out from behind it & tried to attack me.
A few shots from my Winchester, & the varmints were all dead. The woman started pleading for me to let her live. "Please sir, they made me do it!"
I gave her the benefit of the doubt, & let her run away.
A few days later, I saw her again, pulling the same trick with a new group of gunmen.
I killed the gunmen, lassoed the woman, and dragged her behind my horse 'till she died.

How do you attach people to the horse then? I can only put people on top.

He lassoed her then got on the horse or lassoed her from the horse. Gonna have to unsubscribe now, don't wanna learn to much about this game and tbh if it doesn't come out on pc soon I might have to go out and buy a xbox...... For the kids of course.

Yup, I lassoed her from the horse & just dragged her along.
I lost Honour though by letting her be dragged to her death, so I actually reloaded afterwards & shot her in the head the next time instead. I'm trying to be good (given the whole "Redemption" thing...).
Did a couple of missions in the second main area last night (well, this morning ), & have now got Deadeye Level 3.

Have you got the Dastardly achievement yet? I recommend you get it. Also go to Thieves Landing and buy a bandanna. It means you can run about and be mean without losing honour. Just make sure you take it off before doing something good, otherwise you don't earn honour.

Well that's one big game. Finished the story having played on the xbox more than I normally would but there's sill loads to do. If you were after unlocking all of the costumes etc before finishing the story you'd still be here this time next year! Loads of scope for DLC... all that empty space at the map edges is there for a reason I bet.

Re: Red Dead Redemption (360/PS3) [Rockstar's GTA-esque Western]
I'm currently on 94.8% complete, the part I'm struggling with at present is the level ten marksman achievement, "disarm six men without reloading or changing weapon" I've been on this challenge for ages now...any tips?

Re: Red Dead Redemption (360/PS3) [Rockstar's GTA-esque Western]
Not got that far with the Challenges.
Couldn't you just use Deadeye to target people's guns/hands? And to avoid reloading or changing weapon, just use something with a high ammo capacity (or be very good with six shots!).

Re: Red Dead Redemption (360/PS3) [Rockstar's GTA-esque Western]
How far into the game does the whole map open?
I'm stuck on the Wilkinson cart race, I just struggle to control the dame thing.
The thing that has annoyed me is the dead eye, I went into it to shoot wolf's who where attacking a woman and it target her and she died.
I keep expecting him to take Bonnie roughly from behind
I can't bring myself to shooting bunnies

Re: Red Dead Redemption (360/PS3) [Rockstar's GTA-esque Western]
Can't remember about the map.
Horses/carts... Hammer "A" (or whatever it is) 'till you get a good speed, then keep it held down to maintain that speed without tiring out the horse. Hammer it some more if you need more speed, but always be careful of the stamina. Shouldn't take too much to get used to it.
Deadeye gets much better when you unlock all 3 (?) levels of it.

While searching for flowers for "Norman Bate's Father" I was on horse back riding when a bloody great cougar jumps and kills my horse, thank god for dead eye.
