its still being discussed on their forum about how the game is gonna be paid for wheather subscription based or not. The last i heard was that they were looking at different possibilities and would let us know of what maybe during the beta test stages.

... specifically, he re-programmed the simulation so it was possible to rescue the stricken crew and take out a few Klingon cruisers in the process.

Personally I think that was one of the best scenes in the recent re-boot.

I only found out about this game the other night. I posted a thread on it lastnight as I didnt notice this one. Looks great

Can't wait tbh and hope I can get into the Beta when ever it comes through.

Well.... Open Beta starts today (6pm GMT) and I've pre-ordered it from Amazon. I think that if I like the open beta then I'll carry on with my pre-order, not that I'm 100% happy that its due for release on 05/02/2010 here and they STILL haven't sorted out a pricing structure!!

Looking at Champions Online (Cryptic Studios other MMORPG) it will probably subscription based though.

Thanks for the heads up. I'd forgot about the open beta. Very much looking forward to this myself
