Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I have a question about MW2 online Multiplayer, when you search for a game in say Team Deathmatch, how does it know what your ping actually is, if you router is set not to respond to ping request's.
So how can it balance your connection effectively if this cant be determined accurately.
Any ideas anyone

Sometimes it`s not the same as traditional cmd pinging.
Some info here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ping_%28video_gaming%29

What you need is to go in as a clan, last night me and a couple of mates were playing and there was a clan with so many players that some were on our side so we changed our clan tag to theirs .
Ideally you need a game with mics to you can tell were the guy is that killed you.
If you want send a friend request to Random Hom3r.

Has anybody heard if you can check you game stats on your PC.
The same way that you can do with Battlefield: Bad Company.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Cheers Hom3r, i`ll look you up
Got it connected on Friday, ordered x-box live from Amazon(received today), there doing it for a great price of £32.99 for twelve months, thought i`d have to wait until it arrived before i could get on.
Wen`t through with the registration stuff and low and behold i`ve got 1 month trial for free
Started off with the free-for-all and duly kept getting arse whipped by people who know what there doing (good guns and all that).
Getting there slowly but it cheese me off when they stick you on with a load of guys who are high level players yet i`m still a minion
Going out in a bit to get a mic so i can ask people what to do, it`s still all a bit new and lovin it though
p.s. Do the dodgy dreams go after a while?

Hi Matty, dont worry you will get better with time, as for hints etc, what kind of player are you, do you like to run around like a madman (like I do) or camp and snipe from a far.
Ive played FPS games for a few years now so I may be able to give you some tips to get you started.
a quick few tips,
use powerfull weapons (scar-h or Famas) for team death, use stopping power for perk No2, and when you unlock it use the silencer and red dot with Bling Pro for perk 1.
I like to use claymores or sticky granades, with flash bang grandes to stun your enemy then run in and wup ass.
I only play in games than give me 4 green bars signal strength, anything less and your at a disadvantage already.
Dont walk/run down the middle off an open space, keep your back or shoulder close to a wall, and youd be surprised how many people you can get the drop on.
If you kill someone from a little hiding spot, move on strait away because they WILL come back for you, or stick a claymore down afterwards so If they do come back for you, you can kill them again
Good luck, have fun and enjoy

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Don't play free for all yet, play team deathmatch's first. work as a team and learn the maps first.
When you camped waiting for a target, listen you can hear footsteps, if you look at the radar you might not see green blips meaning a enemy is very near.
Some of them have the knife upgrades that mean they will always beat you even if you have a gun.
Like wise when you get killed you will see the killcam and you will see were they are 99/100 they will not be there, or waiting for you.
I'm currently level 24/25 and its hard against players who are in the 50s+.

First DLC due on 360 from 30 March - three new, two old maps. But no achievements and 1200MSP

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Waste. Of. Money.
Especially for 5 maps... Activision are really trying to milk as much as possible out of this game. Apart from it costing so much, it will probably be full of glitches.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I'd have bought it for 800, but 1200 is too much!

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Seems a bit much for a few new maps, i did see some screen shots of them the other day and they do look pretty good.
BTW if anyone fancies hooking up for a game my tag/thingy/whatdoyamacallit is riggermat
I`m not very good but only play for a laugh

I agree I have 900 MS points and no free funds for extra points
So i'll have to wait for it to drop in price.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I just found out that Cage Match got removed. What are the chances that it'll be released in paid DLC?
