Re: What old games do you want to see again ?
Oh gawd, I wish this thread hadn't been started.
Now I'm obsessed with X-wing -v Tie Fighter, despite the awful (by modern standards) graphics and sound, and that I can't even finish the training missions

Just installing Carmageddon 2 on my lappy.
I have already installed Doom & Doom II on my Lappy & Netbook

Carmageddon 2, don't like XP (thinks its NT) even in compatability mode
So installed TDR2000

This Might Help
But its most probably your GFX driver's are to advance for it though lol. I had similar problems with some old games I've tried to play like Theif 2.

Kick Off. Screamer. Carmageddon. Not remakes, just take the same exact game, update it to new tech. God, Carmageddon on a modern PC/Engine would be superb.
Half Life, that is on the way though, hopefully this year.

You and me both, I've lost the last four days of my life to Elite now (well, Oolite, the open-source re-make actually, but it is very good).
And I'm still only 'mostly harmless'.

Not sure what happened to that. I saw a Playstation version with slightly better graphics, then the whole franchise seemed to disappear.
Not to worry though, there is an open source clone.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenTTD
Also, if you have Transport Tycoon Deluxe, there is a patch that adds extra features (such as more realistic acceleration and LAN multiplayer) : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport_Tycoon#TTDPatch

Destruction Derby and Speedball, I was addicted to that on the old Atari ST and Amiga. I'd love to see them again.
And an old Atari one that never seemed to end was "Captive"
Duke Nukem 3d with improved graphics, i'd kill to see back again.

Loved the Age of Empires series, really jolly good. Never got into Quake or that many shooters to be honest.
