Is it this that you bought? http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/...roductId=31257
Which memory card did you use?
Thanks

Don't see where the difference is between R4 cards and Chipped Cable Boxes.

you are loosely correct. There is a lot of threads on here that are close to the mark but because we do not talk openly or promote theft of service or copyright we are not in breach of the T&C of this site. Openly talking about stealing cable on a site that is close to VM is the difference.
Quite often someone will warn you about cable theft who is known to some to not be totally clean when it comes to other matters but you have to be careful and you wont break the rules of this forum

The difference is simple - an R4 card *might* cause its user to be liable to a claim for unlicenced use of the Nintendo DS hardware itself, or software running via the card, or it *might* cause the user to be liable to a claim of copyright infringement. Either of these are civil issues, not criminal ones.
On the other hand, obtaining cable TV service by deception, such as by using a chipped box, is a specific criminal offence under the Fraud Act 2006 that can result in a fine or in a jail term.
There may indeed be a grey area when it comes to deciding what we will and will not allow discussion of when civil matters such as copyright are at issue. In such cases the team will rule as fairly as we can. However we never tolerate discussion of how to carry out criminal acts.

Well im happy, works perfectly and came within 24 hours.
Iam a bit miffed at their customer service as they got my address wrong and completely missed off the business it was going to, even though i rang them to say it looked wrong and was promised it would be recified, my only godsend was the postie obviously recognised my name so it came straight here.

Oh dear looks like you have been skanked. You can get them cheaper than that at memorybits anyway

Re: Nintendo DS - R4/Edge Cards
Word of warning.
I bought 2 of these, one for Mrs-M-to-Be and one for the Mother-in-Law.
Both have been fine, if a little flakey when you start playing with the underlying OS.
However.....
I bought another one recently from memorybits which turned up today. It's marked up 'R4 Upgrade Revolution'.
These now appear to be the only model that memorybits stock, and are being widely reported on the many community forums as being poor quality fakes. My experience suggests that this may well be the case.
Backed up ROMs that work on the other card won't work on this one, the interface is slow and takes ages to load/do anything, and when you choose a function from the menu (playing some media, or launching a game) it quite often just does whatever it wants.
I've ordered one of the Edge cards that Stephen went for earlier in the thread, I certainly won't be ordering R4 cards from memorybits again in a hurry.
