Cool Xbox? PC? PS3? Retro? Which Do YOU Prefer?

Ok, First of all, I didn't know where to Post this as It doesn't fit exactly into any

Anywho more to the Point, The Question is, Which type of console do you Prefer/Own.

Why do you prefer this certain console? Games? Online? Spec?

For Instance, I love the Xbox360 Overall, as I love Xbox Live, and all the games on the Xbox.

What are your opinions? There have been lots of Arguments/Rants about whats best.

Explain your reasons for liking this Certain Console too!

Thanks for the move ^^ I do play on my PC, but I find that using a controller and a large Television makes it seem better!

Re: Xbox? PC? PS3? Retro? Which Do YOU Prefer?

Alright thats quite a big screen

But I still think I prefer Xbox, one good reason is obviously the same with most actual consoles, is The Multiplayer (Offline) Its alot easier say on the Xbox/PS3 than it is on the PC

Also its not all about the Spec with the Xbox and PS3 as they are all playing on the same console. The main difference is Internet speed I guess

Re: Xbox? PC? PS3? Retro? Which Do YOU Prefer?

I own PC, XBOX 360 and a Sega Megadrive (so a bit more retro for you there). The megadrive would be my favourite, unfortunately it doesn't look too good on the large LCD. I like PC games but things have become too expensive there, pretty much since NVIDIA dominance came about some years ago. I play the Wii a bit elsewhere.

My favourite games are platform, strategy, driving and fps. Many modern sports and rpgs bore the pants off me.

Of the 7th generation consoles I think the 360 is the best. XBOX live is pretty good, achievements and the whole interface more fun. It has several serious flaws though. The DVD drive is mindbogglingly loud. So you can copy games to the HD, that's great but it's only just happened. Even playing DVDs (at the lower speed) are still noisy. It could do with a cool browser like the Wii has too. Strange thing but I would have liked something like folding on the 360. Playback of DVDs is not quite as good as the PS3 or other players and it obviously doesn't have a blu-ray player. The Wii is a fantastic piece of kit. If it were high def and had achievements I think it would be my favourite.

P.S. If I were richer I'd do a lot more PC gaming. Played many cool things on that over the years. Also am not too happy with Micro$oft at the moment. The Party system for XBOX live is seriously screwed up.

I would like an Internet Browser on the 360. That would be good. I used to own a Sega Megadrive but it kind of wasted away slowly. Although it was a great console. First console I ever had.

They've done some nice classic games to download on the 360. Unfortunately they did Mortal Kombat 3 and not the original!

Yeah, The orignal was awesome too They have alot of games in the Market Place, but I think an Internet browser would top off a 360.

I like them all for diffrent reasons but am with Zing on the FPS side of things. I am a big FPS fan and I beleive they belong on the PC with a keyboard and mouse

Re: Xbox? PC? PS3? Retro? Which Do YOU Prefer?

I agree with both of you on the FPS type of side, it does belong to the PC. On the other hand between the Playstation 3 and the Xbox360 I do prefer the Xbox, by quite alot. I just hate the point that the Playstation boasts about Blu-Ray. I used to like Playstations better, PS1 & PS2 Then the Xbox, but Out of the newer types, I have moved onto the Xbox, as I prefer Live, the Look, The games. Near enough Everything About it

Don't get me wrong, I like the PS3 and all, I just prefer the Xbox by a bit. They both have good and bad points really, and depending what your actually using them for, like what games you enjoy more. Will determine which one you like I guess.. I have not played Fable 2 yet, is it worth buying for either console?
