Deus Ex: Human Revolution [Deus Ex 3] (360/PS3/PC)

As the title says the first details of Deus Ex 3 have come out on Computerandvideogames.com

Quote:
The first details on Eidos Montreal's Deus Ex 3 have been revealed, in the pages of PC Zone's landmark 200th issue.

It's out in the shops on Thursday, but PC Zone subscribers are reporting that copies of PCZ number 200 have hit doormats this morning. The cover game? Deus Ex 3 - the long-awaited return of the world's favourite nano-augmented RPG-shooter.

In essence, it looks and sounds fantastic. The art direction is a beautiful meld of the renaissance and cyberpunk (tying into the game's Leonardo Da Vinci motif) and is going for a lot more stylised look than the sort of game that comes from the Unreal Engine cookie-cutter
Quote:
sounds like Eidos Montreal isn't leaving anything to chance; a "powerful, layered" plot is promised for the third game - which has been confirmed as a prequel set in 2027- and the dev has even drafted in the consultative talents of original writer Sheldon Pacotti, while also gaining the blessing of both Harvey Smith and Warren Spector on the project.
Full details can be found at http://www.computerandvideogames.com....php?id=198546

Am looking forward to this and hope it can recapture the feel of the original because that was one of my favorite games of all time.

re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution [Deus Ex 3] (360/PS3/PC)

Definitely agree with you on the 1st one - also one of my faves games of all time

Second was good, but didn't capture the magic of the original IMO.

I hope this is good...

I agree, I didnt think the second was bad but it didnt have the same impact the first had.

I think I played the first one through a couple of times I enjoyed it so much. With the second I didnt feel the need to do that.

Really draws you in doesn't it. Given Square-Enix past for storey telling this could be everything the second should have been. The original is still one of my favorite gaming experiences of all time. Easily in my top five for sure.

re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution [Deus Ex 3] (360/PS3/PC)

First gameplay footage trailer is out. Shows off the diffrent aspects of play imo i.e stealth, tech, brute force ! Looks brilliant. This could easily be the biggest game next year if its done right. Can't wait

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution [Deus Ex 3] (360/PS3/PC)

Looks brilliant, I've got the augmented edition on pre-order but no dispatch yet :-( really looking forward to playing it. It's the game I've been most excited about all year apart from uncharted 3 and skyrim.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution [Deus Ex 3] (360/PS3/PC)

Arrived today hurray
inserted dvd, run setup, install files, register,(come on come onhurry up)
press play............................... go............... message reads " ready to play in 4 hours 53 minutes" AAARRGGHH
I HATE STEAM !!!!
whatever happened to put game in drive, install, play.

I am thoroughly, thoroughly peeved off
this is exactly the same as dUKE Nukem, it took 3 hours to set that up as well.
I am never ever buying a game that has anything to do with steam or valve
