Re: Doom 4 Announced

i thought Doom3 was total pants, impossible to play, then I saw it running on another PC, realised my TFT at the time had issues and needing the flashlight on ALL the time to see anything wasn't part of the game - DOH.

Played it again tail end of last year and it is a decent game, really liked it, wasn't keen on bad guys just popping out of small hidden rooms in walls, cheap level design. Doom3 Engine, four years old! It still looks amazing now. If Doom4 uses the new Engine it will be something else, that Tech5 appears to be able to do anything, indoor and outdoor seamless.

Re: Doom 4 Announced

Gosh, I remember the week of Doom 3's release.

There was a thread on the NTHW forums (can't remember if it was Cable Forum at that point) and a lot of people were quite excited. I couldn't believe it was about to be released, it felt like one of those things that you'll always be "looking forward to".
