Force feedback is a waste of time, go for a Saitek X52 or a CH Products yoke, both available on Amazon.

Please explain why you think Force Feedback is a waste of time.
I have an original Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback joystick and I play Pacific Fighters with it and as well as feedback for landing gear, guns and bombs I can also tell when I am on the verge of stalling and wind buffeting all through the joystick (Much like MS Flight Sim).
The joystick also gets tighter when pulling high G turns and looser when in negative Gs.
So I think Force Feedback is far from a waste of time!

Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator X (Deluxe Edition)
I have the Saitek X52 and it's ok but can be a bit jittery and difficult to be smooth with your inputs in FS, the twist rudder axis inparticular (you can purchase rudder pedals separately). I'd say the X52 is more suited to combat flightsims like Falcon 4, CFS and IL2: it's a decent enough all-round stick but nothing spectacular. If your main interest is commercial flight sims I would be inclined to go with the CH flight yoke and rudder pedals.
Also, Saitek now produce a flight yoke and throttle system together with their rudder pedals which might be worth looking at but I Haven't tried myself yet.

The thread may not self destruct, but since that 30 seconds is up, a mod could delete it for you
