I hate it when that happens!

So I was playing world in conflict on my pc, doing the campaign, got the the level where you have to beat the Russians in Seattle or we Nuke it...

Game autosaves between levels so I never thought to manually save.

Get Right to the end of the level, easily been playing it for over 30mins, Gets half way though the end cut screen it freezes screen goes blank for a second then the message "this program has encountered and error and needs to close, we're sorry for the inconvenience" (or something along those lines the messsage vista pops up when an app dies)

If it had crashed all of 10seconds later it would have autosaved but NO it has to do it just before it saves

I really feel like throwing the pc out a window.

look for an all saves cheat and start at next level?

could do but I didn't want to play around with my profile

I might do the level again myself later, its not that hard its just a pain the backside I spent that time on it completed it and then had the game crash at just the wrong moment.

I did, the last one was the autosave and 1 manual save from a while before, the autosave was the one at the start of the level i'd saved before it crashed.

Didn't grab that file you posted since I rebooted into ubuntu after the game had crashed since I have my email.etc setup on that and not on vista at the moment.

Same thing happened to me with Portal. I just beat the boss, and what happens? Portal locks up, taking my machine with it (tried to get back into Windows but got stuck at my desktop's wallpaper).

Turns out there was more to that level than I thought so it probably wouldn't have autosaved after all

Also turns out that was the last level

Oh well the multiplayer is supposed to be the best thing about WIC so i'll have to go try it soon
