I had to download this via Torrent, all the other links were either VERY slow (as you said) or requires Registration. After install, it patches x2, first I guess to update the patcher itself. Once in game it allows you to select from 3 Different Races (Male & Female of Each), I had no idea what each one did what so at this point it would have been better to do some Checking on the site.
The Initial Thoughts on the game
If you have ever played Lineage 2, then this game looks about the same and plays much the same also. If you have not then basically you click on the ground to move, double click to attack a monster etc.
I would say the graphics are not nearly as good as Lineage 2, for start I had it on max everything and only could scale up to 1280x960 where as L2 could easy go to 1680x1060 with better looking textures.
The way the game works (from my limited time playing) is you have your Char Level, your Job level and JP Points. As you kill things, you get Experience (which increases your Level) and JP Points which you can use to increase your Job Level or the Skills. The new skills do not show until you reach the required job level, you cannot gain or increase the skill until you have the required Job Points.
From reading the forum, they say to increase your Job Level first until some new skills show, then use the points up on the skills before moving onwards.
The Map Layout
You start off on Trainer Island, the Monsters here range form 1 to about 8 I think. You are meant to do quests but the very first one I did it never finished and never got my reward. As this was not complete, I could not carry on with the other quests, maybe as I levelled to fast without going back to the woman, I am not sure.
When I reached Level 8, I was Teleported to another Map, I could use the Teleporter to get back to Trainer Island, which was a good thing as the monster's on this Island were Level 16 outside the gates. Each time I levelled, I kept getting transported back to this other place.
Choosing your Path.
Once you Hit Level 10 (not sure after this), you get to choose a class, by which I mean been a Warrior, Wizard or whatever. I have not reached level 10 yet (bored) so not sure how this works, maybe another quest.
Pay to play?
Although this is a Free game, there is an option to Pay, either monthly I guess or buying items. A Lot of Chinese/Korean Games do this, I heard if you pay the drops are better and more in the shops for you to buy.
My Thought after this quick play.
All it looks like to me is a copy cat Wannabe of Lineage 2 but not as good looking or as Expansive. There seems plenty of people on-line and never experienced any Lag while I was playing. Worth a Go I guess if you have nothing much better to do.
