Re: Is this tv really hd for 360??
It has a component video socket, that means it can take the 3 extra leads that are on your 360 cable that came with it, the red blue green ones, and the resolution is 1440x900 so it should run in 720p mode, failing that you may need to pick up a VGA cable for the 360, but it should run fine with the component lead you already have.

Re: Is this tv really hd for 360??
That's my monitor, but I don't like it for the 360. The format for 360 is 16:9, and this monitor is native 16:10 so things doesn't look too hi def to me. I was very disappointed to be honest. So I tend to stick with my 32" Sammy for the 360.
The TV on that monitor is watchable, but I would not buy it unless it was primarily for the use of a monitor, the other aspects should be treated as a bonus.

I would add that it's still a very good alround monitor and I would highly recommend them for that purpose. As what I said before does make them sound a bit naff.

Re: Is this tv really hd for 360??
vga cable is the way to go for the x360 it allows you to use most pc desktop monitors as well has some hd tv's as well at alot of different resolutions. Unlike the ps3 which your stuck at 576p 720p 1080i or 1080p.
and since most hdtv's in this country are 1366x768 thats abit more than 720p.
For future ref 480p is the american NTSC standard (640x480) and 576P is the pal equivelent (720x576) both are standard definition.
High definition is 720p and about (1280x720)

Cheers for the info, I've just ordered the leads (from play) and hopefully those will change things for the better. (I've only used the components). I'll hopefully report back when I test them out.
