Shame you forget to put a HDDVD drive (£130) and a wireless connection (£55)
Wait... that makes the PS3 cheaper... 4 for £5 on stella round the corner, so i'll take the PS3 with 32 Cans of stella Thanks

but those not bothered about either have just saved themselves a fortune , same games (except a few) , same resolutions, its a games console , if i want a hddvd or blu ray player i would buy one, its much nicer to be given the choice though , rather than it being forced on you  , hope you love your ps3 , resistance looks awesome

I want a games console, not a HD-DVD player. I love how this feature is the only one that PS3 users seem to care about. Seriously, most people want a games console. It is after all, the Playstation. Your right about wireless though

I'll have all three tomorrow, but it doesnt change that fact that everyone that compares the price of the 360 and the ps3 forgets all the extras that are with the PS3 that the 360 doesnt have.
Next you will be telling me a Ford is better than a BMW just because its cheaper.

who is? I still think Blue ray will prove to be a mistake and only any good for pwners of the ps3 the games appear from what ive read to be filled will garbage to pad out how much data is wasted on the discs . I would happily pay the price if I wanted one whether or not the ps3 is better remains to be seen does it not?

I can go out and buy a HD DVD for my 360 tomorrow, but the point is, I don't want one nor need one at the moment, I'm grateful that I had a choice. The amount of people that's paid out for a PS3 even though they have a standard crt have just wasted a lot of money for something (blu-ray) they don't really need.
I'd rather stick with my DVD player that upscales, at least films are a lot easier to get.

Would you compare a VHS to a dvd player? No!
Then why compare the PS3 to the 360, 2 different breads, one has far more features than the other, and thus a bigger price.

what other features ? both play games dont they? one you get to shake your hands at woopie doo this same one comes with wireless ok thats a point but you can get wireless for the other. they both go online so what the big amazing feature the ps3 has over anything else then??? it puts money in the pockets of sony now if ever there was a reason not to buy one

You see, none of you seem to get this, i get what your saying about choice, but lets look at it this way, would you compare a laptop with 1GB of ram to one that had 2 GB of ram? or would you agree one was better, Even if you only needed / wanted 1GB of ram?
Would you then agree that a laptop with a DVD drive was better than one with a CD drive? even if you didnt want to watch DVDs? Yes
Now would you compare the prices of them ? No you would compare one with a DVD drive to one with a DVD drive.
End of the day, If you price up a 360 to match the features of a PS3 the 360 is actually more expencive. So say what you will, but at the end of the day, you all keep saying the 360 is cheaper, which it is, but it doesnt have the same features.
