ealink...

Thinking of buying c&c 3 on release or just after , not sure wether to order it or give EAlink a shot.

I've bought games over steam before but never used EA-link becuase there was nothing on it i wanted to buy as of yet...

I have a pretty fast connection and buying it though ealink would be one less disc to lose

(actually i usually install Halflife2 off steam rather than get the disc to im lazy )

Re: ealink...

EA link is an option to use Dragon, but you dont get any of the manuals with in paper just pdf that you have to print yourself.

Also the price is the same as in the shops if EA wanted people to use Link more then they should drop the prices on it (but thats my opinion).

but I agree that Ea link is easier then dumping cds in the pc

out of interest is there a minimum term in which EA will provide the downloads for, is there any contingency plans for if they decide to pull a game from ealink.

I'd be a bit worried that Once ea decide the game is Old they suddenly drop it from ealink and myself being unable to the re-download it if needed.

Hasn't been a problem with steam so far.

Re: ealink...

dont know if Ea will do that but then again wouldnt suprise me really. in proper games like c&c3 I would prefer it on disc instead of ea link also as the game is close to 7gb it will take a while in downloading it from link.

Ryan is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: ealink...

I would just stick to buying from a shop if that's possible.

If anything goes wrong, you can always take it back or trade in at Gamestation, who I believe still accept PC game trade ins.

Also, I love C&C3 (the demo) shame it lacks some of the high tech units I loved in Tiberian Sun. Also the whole atmosphere of the game is noticeably less grim and immersive than TibSun's.
