Re: setting up headphone&microphone

Have you run the audio setup in BF2142, you need to set the mic, I goto audio in settings and setup the mic in their.

Likely your gain is way to high.

Re: setting up headphone&microphone

I use a USB headset and I get complaints that they cannot hear it but funny when I game with my friends they hear me perfectly.

I think it boils down to some idiots not setting things up correctly...sodding noobs.

Re: setting up headphone&microphone

On board sound cards are often a source of problems. Mine never worked properly in both my current and previous PC when gaming. USB is also asking for issues since your reliant on software rather than dedicated hardware. Likely you won't get the full game sound effects.

Get yourself a proper Creative soundcard - overclockers have a 7.1 sound card at around £21.00 this week. Combine that with a Medusa 5.1 Speedlink Headset and you'll be doing fine.

Re: setting up headphone&microphone

Funny enough problem was sorted with a update of the onboard drivers, seems everyone can now hear me perfectly on Bf2142
