right i have now uninstalled and reinstalled battlefield 2142
i have been into sounds and devices and done hardware test my microphone and headphones work and i can hear myself i have also told it to use stereo headphone speakers as there is nothing that says headphone and microphone
the battle commo screen comes up but nothing can be heard when i talk into it can anyone help me plz
yeah tried that but it didnt work
it dont matter know anyhow i sold the headphones and microphone to a mate of mine for 4 quid which is what i paid for them cheers anyway mate
On board sound cards are often a source of problems. Mine never worked properly in both my current and previous PC when gaming. USB is also asking for issues since your reliant on software rather than dedicated hardware. Likely you won't get the full game sound effects.
Get yourself a proper Creative soundcard - overclockers have a 7.1 sound card at around £21.00 this week. Combine that with a Medusa 5.1 Speedlink Headset and you'll be doing fine.

what kind of headset your using because i know alot of gamers bought this headset and its the same problem. i forgotten whats its called though but if u tell me what it is then ill remember
