I think that for a PC game, this is pretty good going. Obviously not as many sales as Halo 2 or GTA:SA, but I doubt any PC game will sell as much as the top console games.
Any thoughts? Did it live up to your expectations? Are you surprised by these figures?

Yes, that is just retail sales, as mentioned Valve haven't released the amount of copies sold via Steam but I'm willing to be it's a hell of a lot more than 1.7 million.
