Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault

I bought this yesterday and am having a lot of fun playing it, sneaking through the jungle with my bolt action rifle.
I have a question though, at the start it sets you up for an Omaha Beach style landing but I ended up dying horribly in about 5 minutes.
Then it went back to 2 years previously when I was at boot camp, did I do something wrong by dying at the start or was that supposed to happen?

No, it's supposed to do that and the start of the game is THE only decent part. The bit in the naval base as the ships were getting bombed while you're being ferried about impressed me and led me to believe that it'd be a decent game ... turns out the rest of it is mediocre.

Re: Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault

I tried the game, same as you died on the beach, went back to training - this should have been a optional extra rather than something you have to do. The drive through the Base is daft, I am not too hot on Cut Scenes esp when the loading time is plain stupid for each part.

The AI once again is stupid, planes flying all about you but the only ones you can shoot is the ones coming at you - I hate scripted Single player games personally. I removed the game from My PC now - the fact I could boil the kettle in the time it takes to load put me off, I dont mind some loading time but that was plain daft.

I still preffer MOHAA Series (first 3) to this one, to me its a big let down as to what I was expecting tbh.

Re: Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault

Have to agree with the majority on this, pacific assault is a big let down. The only good thing I can say about it is that the motion blur is good when you get to let rip on one of the big guns in the jungle a la predator The rest of the game is just the same predictable first person shooter. I found it so boring that I am already using god mode just so that I can complete the game. The other thing that I find really annoying is the reload time of some of the guns, it is so painfully slow. In my opinion pacific assualt is nowhere near as good as call of duty.
