So, now that you've completed Half Life 2, what was your favourite level?
Mine personally was Ravenholme, it brings the memories of Resident Evil 3 flooding back - such atmosphere on a decent sound setup as well.

I thought the ending level was quite nice, you end up having this feeling of unstoppable superhuman power and strength because of the energy gun although it would have been nice if it was harder.

Had to be Ravenholme, the atmosphere, the layout and traps etc, all fits in

You need to jump on the machinery to get across the room, there you will find a switch that opens the door to let Barney in (& a health top up)

[Edit]-It's a bit fiddly, but you just need to avoid the red beams (obviously) & then up onto the pipe.

Has to be the first level - just because it was like - cooooo and it felt very oppressive with all the cameras and cops etc..

But the Bridge was very smart too - for those who dont like heights like myself it added a little bit extra eek!

That part made my fear of heights go off slightly, even without the reflection on water (due to card restrictions) I felt a bit scared on there

Re: The Half Life 2 completion thread (spoilers)

Ok so I finally finished. I thought the ending was a bit poor.

I did like inside the combine city - it remimded me a lot of the city in Forbidden Planet.

Re: The Half Life 2 completion thread (spoilers)

Ravenholm was probably my best part too. Kinda reminded me of the Painkiller theme.

I liked the journey to the top of the Citadel though. Nice view.

As for ending I was expecting a boss or something like the Nihilanth in HL1, but oh well. I still like the ending though. One hell of a cliff hanger.

I guess HL3 will sell like crazy when it hits the shelves because of said cliffhanger (well, I'm sure that was Valve's plan), or perhaps an expansion pack if there is one (I wonder if Adrian Shepard will make a return?).

This is a HL2 completion thread-not an "I'm in Nova Prospect" thread.
