Command & Conquer 3?

GameBiz is saying that they've received word from an inside source that EA is currently developing Command & Conquer 3. Here's the scoop:
This week we received word from a source within Electronic Arts Studios that they are working on a new Command & Conquer title to be named Command & Conquer Tiberian Twilight.

This sounds only reasonable as the past C&C title was named Tiberian Sun.

Hope this is true........

Red alert 2 was one of the worst RTS games ive ever seen, red alert was ok but that was based on the original C&C engine anyway with a few updates so it was bound to be better.
Though thinking about it tiberian sun was very poor.

As to the main topic of this thread, I just dont see it happening, EA dissolved westwood studios stating that they wanted to move away from the C&C title and focus on thier own version of it (Generals). I just dont see it happening before they have at least done another expansion (or knowing EA, 8 more) for generals, and even generals 2. Lets face it if they do C&C 3 its gonna be a long time away.

By the way Tiberian Twighlight was a name thought up by the C&C comunity, not EA/westwood so it seems even more likeley to me that this is just a rumour. Pitty though I would have liked to buy/play it if it does get made.

Of course EA will make it!! Think about it, C&C makes them a lot of money, so they obvioulsy make the (arguably) most demanded strategy game ever! They'll be rich(er!)! People who never played a C&C game before will buy to see what the hype is about!

If it will make EA richer, then EA WILL make it!

I liked all of the C&C games, but I found the Tiberian ones better. As ZrByte said, RA was C&C 1 with a new coat of paint. I didn't really love it, because it was too harsh on the allies, and tanks were far too strong, with anti-tank measures too weak.

But I'll look forward to this, and when it's released, I will serve GDI!
