UT 2004 DVD Edition

I just ordered UT 2004 DVD edition off play.com since I got my £20 from college today, and I was wondering if there is any difference between the original CD version and the DVD version. Is it just that the DVD version is on 1 DVD disk and the original CD on several standard CD's?

You got £20 for going to college? When did this come about?

It's something they started this year. It's called the "EMA". When you go from school to college, if your house income is below £30,000 a year, you can get £10-30 a week and 2X £100 bonuses every year. Very good thing

Yes. The DVD version is for people with DVD drives, the CD version is for people who don't have them. The DVD version comes with 1 DVD, and the CD version comes with [b]6[/b ]CDs So unless you have a fetish for swapping CDs a lot, I would get the DVD version where possible.

Ahh well, you need 100% attendance and work rate to get the EMA

I'm glad I bought the DVD version then, since I have a DVD drive and I don't want to switch between 6 CD's

Is UT 2004 that BIG?

Yes and no - it is big but developers no longer have to worry so much about compressing things down to their strict minimum.

I remember when games fitted on a 1.44Mb floppy!
