I'll second that - Depends if you want "Stats" etc of your progress, if not find a magazine or book with larger print (unless you can read small print) and just fire up notepad - Try a sentance at a time then check back for mistooks! then move onto paragraphs.
If you have no idea about touch typing then the F & J keys are the key (no pun) ones...Put your pointing fingers on these keys with the others on ASD and KL; - Look at the keyboard you now have control over 2 sides use your thumbs for the space bar (yes you can use either thumb unless you have one of those dodgy compaq keyboards where the space bar is split in two and one side is really delete!!!! (why?))
Start with basic sentances and see how you go "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" is always a good one for keyboard navigation - see how many times you can type it in 10 minutes (type not cut and paste)
