If you want to be able to browse the shared stuff on a PC, then you can go to start, run and \\computername (e.g. if the computer name was fred, then type \\fred ). A window will soon appear with all the shared stuff, like this one (this is from Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP will look similar)



Also one important thing to note is that if you delete anything off a shared folder on another PC, it will disappears for good. There is no such thing as the network recycle bin, so ensure you are 100% sure that you want to get rid of the file before you hit the delete button, as there is no way to get it back (unless you use file recovery tools, and even then, there is no guarantee of it working).
