Best Ever Upgrade
I've upgrade many times from processors to hotel rooms and never wanted to go back.
But the best of all time was from black and white telly to a colour one.
Dial phones to push button comes around fifth.

Re: Best Ever Upgrade
monochrome to colour on film & Tv was pretty awesome at the time.
Similarly computer graphics have improved drastically from monochrome CLI displays through CGA, EGA, VGA & beyond.
but the upgrade that is 'best' for me, nostalgia wise, was when I upgraded from a ZX81 to a Spectrum 48K 'Plus' - which then had added a Multiface, Multiprint, Interface 1, 2 Microdrives & a Joystick.:p

Re: Best Ever Upgrade
No contest for me.
The upgrade to father with the birth of my son and daughter has to be the best up-grade I ever made.
They don't come with a warrantee but are guaranteed to provide a lifetime of joy. Only slight problem is they don't come with a manual. LOL

Re: Best Ever Upgrade
for me it would be either, from Sega master system to PSX or from Walking to MotorBike.
The bike would have to be the best but I was amazed by the improvement of the PSX over the master system at the time, I had gone from an extremeley dated console to te best money could buy the year the PSX came out.
Think my next best upgrade will be going from Bike to Car but that has yet to come

another one where I can't rep you until I spread it
- by which I mean, I know what you mean, partly, as we have 'only' the 20 year old son.
- the next anticipated upgrade to him is 'Leaving Home' - coming soon

Motorbiking to Car can be a downgrade, match the bike to the conditions - I am thinking a 125/250/450 'Trials' type motorbike can be much more exiting to drive, than a car?
