SE k750i message storage space?
Is there any way of increasing the message storage space on my k750i phone? My limit appears to be around 190 normal text messages which is quite poor considering alot of phones these days can take around a thousand before complaining.
Afterall, this phone has plenty of storage, anyway to utilise it?

I have to ask.... why would you keep 190 text messages?
This any good?

I've always kept messages, especially ones that have instructions in, or how to get places etc.
So far that looks like an excellent guide, cheers. But, i'm open to more suggestions incase this doesn't work.

I never knew there was a limit. Maybe you are out of memory on the phone, try moving pics or videos to the memory stick.

No, there really is a limit, i have quite a bit of pscae left on the phone itself as well. So, i dunno.
My phone variant is CID49, not CID36 oranegbird, so your guide, although useful, really couldn't help me

Druchii if you got bluetooth then download Floats Mobile agent ( http://fma.sourceforge.net) there download Beta 2.1.3 then configure your phone with the program and you can download all your contacts, sms and all other stuff you can also do it via the USB cable but I dont know the way to do that.

Re: SE k750i message storage space?
I agree with DocDutch - Float's great.
I never knew there was a limit - you can hardly see the scroll bar on mine!
At least you haven't got one of the old Nokias that could hold, wait for it, 10 whole messages

I have one sat next to me
I've been reading around, right now my CID49 phone can't be modified... Looks like this thread can be closed now as it's useless.

Re: SE k750i message storage space?
Druchii, as said use Float...you never want another proggie to do anything with your SE phone as it does nearly everything that you want with it
---------- Post added at 18:06 ---------- Previous post was at 18:05 ----------
if you want I can even help you set the whole lot up that is if you got a BT adapter.

Re: SE k750i message storage space?
Ok, i revoke my lock this thread statement.
I'm trying to set it up using a cable, a DCU-60 (usb) cable to be precise, apparantly it's supported, but i don't know how to get it to work, any ideas?
---------- Post added at 18:51 ---------- Previous post was at 18:15 ----------
Ok, found out how to connect it, got it to connect to the official software, then look up the Com port, etc.
Now, the configuring side of things... How?
---------- Post added at 18:57 ---------- Previous post was at 18:51 ----------
Ok, done it, i like it so far, apart form i just tried copying a copyrighted image on my phone and it's still trying to copy it despite the fact i know it can't be copied...

Re: SE k750i message storage space?
so Druchii what ya think about the program??? pretty good isnt it.
I've backed up all my contacts from my old K750 and when moved to the K800 I just transfered them all over within 3 mins no hassle nor anything my opinion is that Float is 1 of be best tools around just a shame they dont make it so that other phones makes can use it.

Re: SE k750i message storage space?
I like it lots, still playing around with it when i get a lull in other things to do, going to work out how to get my SIM card updated with all my contacts (i can do it one by one already) and then going to back them up
