Re: video ipod..
What sort of advice? I have a 30gb one, never used the video part of it though, just for music.
If you don't want it scratched then buy a case mine is only ever in my car or pocket and its really scratched.

Re: video ipod..
Amazon.co.uk has them cheaper than elsewhere. Get a case, iskin are the best, if you want to keep it in good condidtion. I also like in-ear headphones the ones from sony are good.
If you want to convert videos this is a ok program (i just use QT pro)

Re: video ipod..
What sort of video stuff are you hoping to watch, and where are you hoping to use it. The screen size and quality could be the crucial factor.
Have a look at some of the stuff by Archos.

Re: video ipod..
My advice - wait!
There is a proper video iPod coming out soon.

Re: video ipod..
There is properly a 'proper' video iPod coming out in september, but it may be just that, a proper video ipod. This means it might not be as good as the normal iPod for music.

Re: video ipod..
I just got a 30GB one to replace my older 20GB model. Its a great screen and watching movies is great although it really reduces the battery life. I have a few video podcasts on it as well and its cool.
