SE W800i bluetooth problem
I've bought a bluetooth headset and when I try to link it up to the phone I have to put in the default code for the phone which is easy enough but it then says the device (the headset) has to put in the code too - how do I get around that?

How are you trying to link the headset up?
There is a menu in the bluetooth part for handsfree and headsets. It should be added there. Only the phone should have to enter the code. I always use 0000.

Re: SE W800i bluetooth problem
Check the manual for the headset, it should give you the code for the phone that the headset will respond with.

It's a Carphone Warehouse headset - when I get the phone to search for 'other devices' it finds the headset and prompts me to enter the code (0000) for the phone which I do - it then asks for the 'other device' to enter the same code which of course I cannot do seeing as it's a headset!
When I set the phone to search for 'hands free' devices, it cannot find the headset

Re: SE W800i bluetooth problem
Might be worth going to the carphone warehouse and seeing if they can sort it for you.
I have the W800i too and the only way to get a handsfree connected is to use the handsfree menu, as when adding any normal device they both have to enter the code.
Does your headset have a setting to put it into find mode. On my BT headset I need to turn it on then hold down the call answer button till the light flashes green/red only then can it connect to the phone.

Re: SE W800i bluetooth problem
I'm sure most of us have been in a simular situation... especially if it was something bought from MFI Mind you, it'd probably help not to RTFM! in that case.
