jvc AV28R25EKS tv speaker probs

i have been given a jvc AV28R25EKS tv, and also 2 floor standing speakers. when i run through a test on the tv, it goes through each individual speaker, and sound comes out of each one. then when i put it back to normal tv, athough you can hear a faint hissing if you go right up next to the floor standing speakers, nothing comes out of them!! the sound is set to prologic 3d. the tv didnt come with a manual, puit i managed to find this one on the internet

Hi

From what I can see, as long as you have set up the floor speakers into the right terminals on the back, follow the instructions on page 37 (setting the Dolby Prologic Function).

the prologic 3d setting is an artificial surround effect for use without rear speakers, so the rears will not work in that mode - change to dolby prologic as the previous poster suggested (i have the same tv btw)
