Samsung D500
I got one of these on Tuesday from Phones 4 U, but im not allowed it till my Birthday, as its a birthday present. Now looking on the Carphone Warehouse website, i decided to take a look at the bluetooth feature, and i notuiced it said that i can transfer music to the phone from my PC to the phone using this feature. My question is how does this work? I always thought you needed a cable.

Re: Samsung D500
you need a bluetooth adapter for your computer, then it would be wireless, as long as its within 10 meters..
ik
EDIT: also you may get a cable that you can connect direct to your phone & computer, to transfer files, but then that would not be bluetooth. but you still put files on your phone.

You see thats what i thought, otherwise there would be no way for the files to transfer. Whats better Cable or bluethooth adapter? Considering my tower is under my desk, and the phone will be sitting next to me when i do transfer files.
Also is there an adapter if i was to get one, specifically made for the D500?

Re: Samsung D500
I use the cable for my computer, as I have a front USB and I don't have a bluetooth adapter on the comp.
however, I am sure you can get them, just google for them, http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/5391.htm
I use bluetooth, for getting files from friends, thats all I use it for.....

Re: Samsung D500
I used to have the D500. I would say bluetooth is better, as its faster than the cable, I think.
I got a bluetooth adapter for my PC for £17.99 although I believe you can get cheaper ones just now. It also comes in handy if you want to send any pictures or files from the phone to the PC.

Re: Samsung D500
Ok so Bluetooth is the way to go. Just one final question, im on o2 at the moment and am transferring to Orange (Because of the above mentioned phone and other things), now is it possible that they can move my number that i have now, along with all my contacts, and existing credit from the o2 sim card to my Orange Sim Card?

Re: Samsung D500
you can port your number, and you can save your contacts from sim to phone, but I don't think you can transfer the credit.
