Virus on an Ipod!

I did a scan on the computer here and the Ipod was connected. I found a virus on the Ipod itself Just thought I would mention it

A bit more info would be nice, what virus was it, what file was it attached to i.e. video, mp3 etc etc.

TIA

PS, where do you think you got it from

Was the virus attached to a media file or another file type?

You might ask yourself - how did it get there?

Though I wouldn't worry unduly - I don't think the iPod would be susceptible to a PC virus.

BTW - you did make sure it wasn't a false positive indication by your AV software?

Re: Virus on an Ipod!

But was it a virus that targets the iPod OS, or just a regular Windows virus hitching a ride on the iPod's hard drive?

Would the AV software on a PC be able to spot that?
