Re: GPS Satellite Navigation
I'l personaly go for a TOM TOM unit they're not the cheapest but I've got one, it can be used in the car or on foot.
If you go out for the day when you get there you can mark where you parked the car and if you get lost you tell it to go to the marked spot.

Re: GPS Satellite Navigation
why would you buy a dedicated sat nav when you can buy a PDA and put sat nav on it?
For example this one has it built in http://uk.nextag.com/Acer-N35-Gps-Pd...RE-PRICES-html and only a few quid more than the medion.

Ive you want a PDA with TOM TOM on, its going to cost a bit more, but then so does a dedicated TOM TOM unit

Re: GPS Satellite Navigation
Speaking from experience, I have an XDA IIi, I run TT5 on it but am having problems with it freezing, I think its a software problem but can't be sure, nothing I can do to complain as it's an evaluation copy I used to have the XDA II, that ran TT5 no problem, all the POI's ( points of interest ) worked perfectly, the speed camera datbase was exellent, shops, cashpoints, it was all there, so much so that I was looking at buying a second hand XDA II off ebay today.
For my worth, I would go for a PDA and install satnav of your choice on it, at least you have the option of using it for so much more.
EDIT: whilst searching and typing this reply, I've found some interesting points over at GPSworld says that its an issue with the phone side of the unit interfering with the pc side ( there are two roms, one for each ) says that removing the sim cures the problem, not ideal but I'm gonna try it.
