Not a good idea. The timeline should be set to whatever the camera timebase was (probably 50i) as otherwise you're forcing Vegas to do a frame rate conversion. The result will be terrible, more so when you compound this with the software de-interlacing to provide 24 frame progressive.

50 field/sec interlaced material is part of the Bluray spec but they call it 25i but in this case it's 25 *frames*/sec interlaced.

Both 1920x1080 and 1440x1080 at 25i are supported.

That's what was getting me confused as I couldn;t see 50i supported by Blu-ray.. Thanks for the update
