Can someone recommend a night time camera?
Hi all
My mums neighbours, who are both in their 80's, have problems with vandals coming past their gardens late at night and smashing their walls/garden ornaments.
The police of course, won't do anything, as there's no witnesses.
So I was thinking it might be worth getting a camera which records in night vision and setting it up outside, hidden, to capture the culpirts
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I'm sorry to hear about this.
There are a variety of options. How much money do you (they) want to spend? Is mains electricity available nearby? Do you want a "live" feed (call the police while to crime is being committed), or a record of the crime (email photos to the police after the event)? Is audio necessary?

What I was thinking of, was a motion activated one which can be connected to a laptop for recording
Was thinking of putting said camera in my mother's lounge window, as it overlooks the neighbours garden, and recording any activity onto the laptop, if possible.

^^^ Like he said.
Or, you might consider a cheaper option since you have a laptop, e.g. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50M-PIXELS...item4ab32f7bdd
