Re: Cloned games banned from Android Market

Sounds good to me, especially if they were riddled with malware.

Re: Cloned games banned from Android Market

This kind of malware will always be present on Android's marketplace as anyone can publish anything. It's just like downloading cracked software onto your PC - you've no idea what has been hidden inside.

Androids are the new PCs from a malware perspective.

Re: Cloned games banned from Android Market

There was another member on another forum that posted this and they said companies only respond after mass complaints are made, is there a screening process in place before apps are allowed to be released.

Moved to Science and Technology as it applies to all Android phones from all networks.

The Android marketplace is completely open for anything to be published. Apple and Microsoft both police theirs, but aren't foolproof; for example there was a knocked off game published for WP7 just yesterday.

There are alternative marketplaces available for Android, like Amazon, that are policed but still won't be foolproof.

Yes when l was on the Android market the other day looking in the games section there seemed to be at least 3 apps of one game but they all seemed to look the same when looking further into the apps details so l left it at that and l am glad l did.

People whom design apps that create problems deserve to be hung :-)
