Tablet suggestions?
Im looking to get a 10" tablet for Christmas but im confused by what to get as there seem to be SO MANY. Im looking to spend about £150. Anyone any ideas or do you reckon i would be better holding off until after the new year?
BTW seen a Archos G9 80 in HMV today for £160 reduced from £200 but some of the reviews on that are a bit meh about the screen.

Re: Tablet suggestions?
Don't think you will get much for around £150.
These reviews may help.
I have a couple of tablets, and of the non-iPads, I prefer the Toshiba AT100, but that retails at £300 - £350.

Re: Tablet suggestions?
I would say that the iPad is by far and away the best tablet at the moment. I am an Apple user but I wouldn't say that about the iPhone for example. The software of the other tablets is still some way behind.
If you can wait until Android matures some more or Windows 8 is released.

Re: Tablet suggestions?
Best droid table in your price range is http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Fire-Am.../dp/B0051VVOB2
Not for sale in europe yet but there is a lot of development going on over at XDA to release the full potential of this tablet.
Other than that you'll not get much in the way of anything worth a punt for £150

I would wait then until Android matures as a tablet platform and has the developer support. Next month is the CES Expo where we're sure to see a lot of hardware announcements.

Re: Tablet suggestions?
I have a hannspree hannspad that I bought for about the price u are looking at. Its tegra 2 based so similar to iconia or transformer for performance. Very modable too but also quite rare at the moment. Just make sure you get the 1653 model for the improved touchscreen and viewing angles.
Typed this on my hannspad currently running android 2.3. Though I have also used honeycomb and there is a WIP build of ice cream sandwich available.

Ebuyer get them in now and again. And I think Amazon last time I looked. Will have a proper look for you tomorrow when I have time.

Re: Tablet suggestions?
Thanks again for everyones replies. I ended up ordering the Archos 70 8gb pad which is selling in CPW for £99 at the moment. Seems to get decent reviews for what i want to use it for so it should do me as a newbie to tablets anyway.

Re: Tablet suggestions?
Sorry for hijacking the thread. Toying with the idea of getting one of these for my 10 year old. Do any of you know if there are any parental controls available for these?
