Apple readying 'iTV' connected TV set for 2012

Fresh rumours have emerged that Apple is preparing a new television product featuring voice controls and other advanced functionality, after Japanese firm JVC was reportedly hired to begin commercial production for a 2012 launch

"Other TV manufacturers have begun a scrambling search to identify what iTV will be and do," Misek said

It is expected that Apple's iTV would feature much of the functionality of Apple TV, the device that can stream content such as YouTube videos and high definition movies to TV screens

Jobs told his biographer: "I'd like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use. It would be seamlessly synced with all of your devices and with iCloud. It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine. I finally cracked it."

I think manufacturers should make i products before Apple claims them all.

I think that the broacasters ITV should sue them for trademark infringment by copying their name.

Yep. Apple don't like anyone using a symbol that resembles an apple. and this little i instead of a big I is the exact same thing in my book

When the iPod came out, some people pointed out that all it did was what the Creative Zen Jukebox did (except with less storage). Didn't stop the iPod pwning the market.

True. the iphone is just a must have gadget that people have to have because everybody else has got one. you're not cool unless you have an iphone.
the truth is if it couldn't be jailbroken it wouldn't be the best selling. because it's absolutely crap just as it is.

This is the 100th compliant I have read about this today, it's a rumoured name invented by the Internet. Apple haven't confirmed the product let alone a name for it .
