Nope, its just like windows v mac. They are just different.
I've had both and both IPhone and android both have their plus and minus points.
Neither is better or worse than the other.

What encryption do you have on the router?

Totally agree - I had an iPhone, now have a HTC Desire, and have an iPad2 and a Motorola Xoom; they all have unique features, drawbacks and strengths.
For instance, the iPhone/iPad is easier to use, but I can do more with the HTC/Xoom, and I find widgets really useful, and often more feature-rich than the i-equivalent.

And besides - I have been very helpful in this thread with some advice...

Re: Niggle with new phone
My android phone crashed earlier on - I had to pull the battery to get it working again. Now all the icons for things installed on the sd card are corrupt.

It was on WPA-PSK [TKIP], but my phone wouldn't connect I changed it to WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES], and it connected.
But my dad's phone (same model HTC Desire S) will not, and I've tried turning both phone and router.

Re: Niggle with new phone
Well I set my router to Mac filtered and added my dads phones MACs addy and it connected.
So why would it connect only if Mac filtered? Is this a phone or router issue?
I might turn off MAC filtering and see if it will still connect.
I might even have ago at trying to connect to my router via the phone using remote access.

Re: Niggle with new phone
on the 13/7 my phone sent 3 picture messages (I don't remember sending them) to a number 1002050101.
Does this number ring any bells to anybody?
Has an app sent them?
