Broken LCD TV screen, is it worth selling the mainboard?
Hi all
My uncle's TV, a 32 inch LG LCD 1080p screen is broken, we think he's smacked into it when moving it and the glass/screen part shows a spider web pattern of cracks across half the screen.
From research I've done, it'd cost the same amount to repair it, as a new TV would cost
So I was wondering, is it worth trying to sell the main/motherboard inside?

Has your uncle given you permission to sell it as reading your other thread about the house i would not touch it if he owns it.
If it was your TV i would say it wouldn't be worth it but i guess someone on ebay may be interested.

Yes, we have permission, we asked what he wanted us to do with it, seeing as he doesn't live here no more, he said to throw it out.

Check here to see if it is worth the hassle as you may only get £25-£50 for it.

Can you not sell it as spares/repairs?

Probably, but it was taken to the recycling centre back in May.
