few shots of a new foal

Just some quick snaps taken while on a learning curve on how best to interact with new mums and foals. At a few days old, the simple answer from the mare was "get out, or get killed" LOL. A week later, and she was happy for me to be in with them and shooting. Though I did get stood on last night, while laying on the floor for feeding shot below. Her protective nature, and the foals curiosity then prevented most shots, seen as it spent most of it's time either sucking the lens, or chewing on my ears, nose and head area LOL
Re-shooting the two mares and foals in the fields soon, but these are a few test shots (getting them used to me).

Re: few shots of a new foal

Interesting approach to the subject you have chosen dude, makes you realise why most photographers seem to end up settling on outside shots of the new arrivals. I can't get passed the old/sad look in the foal's eyes. I guess in reality it is just disappointed that you wouldn't let it lick your lens.

Nice pics and you certainly don't want to be argueing with a Mum of that size. I've had my foot stepped on a couple of times by a 16-hander and it's not an experience I'm in a hurry to repeat.
